What to expect?

BASIC YIN

Yin yoga is a mindfulness practice in which we dive into positions and look at what is happening on a physical and mental level for a few minutes. In doing so, the fascia is stretched in depth and we activate the parasympathetic nervous system — body and mind find peace.

TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE

This yoga style is based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). In this model, we learn about the organ system with its various aspects and the meridian theory with 5 element theory.

Essential oils help us to support this mindfulness practice. You subtly perceive the smell of the oil, it triggers emotion or memory and gently shakes your hand to better understand and process the practice. You will learn how to use essential oils safely, how to work with essential oils on an emotional or physical level (the organ system) and how to integrate them into your lessons.

Individualize your yoga classes by perfectly tailoring your lessons to the needs of your participants. In this way, every individual in your classes can find a personal approach to Yin Yoga. You should already have completed yoga teacher training or have sound basic yoga knowledge and a corresponding basic qualification in a body therapy profession.

Module 1 - Fascia and the musculoskeletal system

In this part of Yin Yoga training, we focus on understanding fascia and the musculoskeletal system. You will learn the basic concepts and functions of fascia in the body and how they can be influenced by Yin Yoga practices. The aim is to develop a deeper understanding of the complex interrelationships of the musculoskeletal system and to integrate this knowledge into Yin Yoga practice and teaching.

Module 2 - Basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

This part of the training provides a comprehensive introduction to the basics of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its connection to Yin Yoga. You will become familiar with the core concepts of TCM, such as Qi (life energy), yin and yang, meridians and the five elements. The aim is to develop a deep understanding of how yin yoga practices can support health and well-being in accordance with TCM principles.

The course covers the principles of effective sequencing, with a focus on the flow of energy, the balance of meridians, and the consideration of individual anatomical differences.
